Description

The Lodge Gate is a cottage dating to the 17th century with additions from the early 19th century. It is constructed with an exposed timber frame and brick infill, although the west side retains wattle and daub under weatherboarding and is similarly treated internally. The cottage has a half-hipped thatched roof which juts out on the west side. The south front is symmetrical, featuring one storey and an attic, with two windows, and an outshot on the west side. It has casement windows, with cast-iron frames in the upper floor. A boarded door is set within a plain frame.
