Description

Colesons is a cottage dating back to the 15th century, with significant modifications in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was originally two cottages. The walls are rendered, and the roof is tiled. The structure is timber-framed, with an 18th-century extension on the east side. The south front has one storey and an attic, displaying five windows below three. The roof is half-hipped at the west end, featuring one gable dormer and two additional dormers. The timber frame is exposed in the upper part of the west side, featuring painted brick infill and other walling; the east side is rendered and has cambered openings and a plinth. Windows are casements, some with early 19th-century cast-iron frames. A half-glazed door is set within a plain frame.
