Description
Japonica is a Grade II listed house located on Salisbury Road in Breamore. The building consists of two parts: a small pair of cottages from the 18th century attached to the south end of a 17th-century timber frame structure, which has been partially reclad. The walls are made of brickwork in English bond, featuring cambered ground-floor openings and a section of Flemish Garden Wall bond. The exposed frame is bricknogged and ends with boarding on the north side. The roof is thatched, with two levels and a hipped design at the north end. The house has two and one storeys with a total of 2.1 windows. The later part of the building has old leaded casements, and there is a boarded door set in a plain frame.
