Old Forge Cottage and Forge is a 17th-century timber-frame house with some 18th-century brick cladding and a 19th-century extension. The walls are a mix of exposed timber framing with brick infill and brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring blue headers, with a cement plinth. The house has a thatched roof, hipped at the south end, while the forge has a slate roof. The house section is two stories high with three windows, featuring casement windows. A boarded door is set within a plain frame. The forge contains 19th-century features.
