Description
Wharf House is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a tile roof. The front of the house, which faces west, is symmetrical and features three storeys with three windows. The yellow brick is laid in Flemish bond, and there is a parapet with stone coping, along with a brick band that has coupled brick dentils and rubbed flat arches. The windows are sashes set in reveals, while the ground floor has bow windows with three lights, framed by a cornice and moulded architrave. There is a Doric porch with fluted columns and half-columns, which are now glazed, along with a moulded door-frame and a six-panelled door, accessed by three stone steps. The rear elevation is also symmetrical, with three storeys and three windows, made of red brickwork and featuring sashes.
