Description

A pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, located on the east side of King Street, Emsworth. The houses are rendered with brick walling and have a tile roof. They present a symmetrical, gabled front facing south-west, with two storeys and an attic, featuring four windows. The roof is half-hipped. The walls are roughcast. The window sashes are Victorian on the first floor. The doorways are plain, each with a hood supported by carved brackets, and contain six-panelled doors with a two-pane top light. The interior of No. 16 retains original plain panelling around the central staircase. Small, inconspicuous rear extensions were added in the late 20th century.
