Description
The stable block located at the rear of No. 7 King Street is an early 19th-century structure. It is built from red brick in Sussex bond and features a hipped peg tiled roof. The building has two storeys and three windows. On the first floor, there are two original cambered pivoting casements with 12 panes each, along with one additional casement, all featuring cambered head linings. The ground floor includes two casements with cambered heads, a tall cambered doorcase with a four-light rectangular fanlight and a plank door to the right, and a double cambered arch to the left, which is concealed by a later double sliding door. Further left, there is a cambered Dutch door and another cambered door at the extreme left. In front of the stable block, there is a section of stone paving and cobbles. Inside, the right side contains three wooden stall partitions and a brick floor, while the left side features a hayrick and a stone floor.
