Description
Trentham House is an early 19th-century house located on Tower Street in Emsworth. The building is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. Its street-facing elevation has two storeys and two and a half windows. The eaves have a fascia and a plinth, with a cornice supported by coupled brackets on the semi-circular south side. The windows are sash style, set in reveals, and the first-floor windows have delicate wrought-iron balconies with a diagonal pattern. The entrance features a reeded architrave, a three-light fanlight, and a six-panelled door.
Surrounding the property is a boundary wall built in rat-trap bond, with heavy stucco gateposts topped by couchant lions. A wrought-iron rail runs along a low wall and there is a gate. The wing wall that connects to No. 2 features a Tudor arch and a boarded door. The other elevations of the house consist of two storeys and an attic, with hipped slate roofing and an eaves cornice on coupled brackets.
