Description

No. 53 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof. The building has three storeys and an attic, with one window on the front facade. The red brickwork is laid in Flemish bond and includes blue headers. The roof is gabled and has a brick dentil verge that encloses a circular light. The second floor has a sash window, while the first floor features a three-light bow window. The ground floor also has a bow window, which is topped with a cornice that continues above the entrance. The entrance itself is framed by an architrave and includes a five-panelled door with glazing at the top.
