Description
No. 1 Queen Street is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof. The symmetrical front faces north and has two storeys with three windows. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, and there are brick dentil eaves. The ground floor openings are cambered, with flush blue quoins and a blue band at the first floor level, along with a plinth. The ground floor has stone cills supported by brackets. The windows are Victorian sashes set in exposed frames. The doorway is adorned with a cornice, which is broken above carved brackets, and includes a panelled frieze and architrave. The door itself is an eight-panelled design, with two top panels glazed, and it is accessed via stone steps.
