Description

This is an early 19th-century house and shop. It is located on the south side of Queen Street, Emsworth. The building is stuccoed with a tile roof. The symmetrical north front has three storeys and two windows. It features a hipped roof with brick dentil eaves. The windows have plain eared architraves, and a large, late 19th-century panel is centrally placed. The windows are sash windows; the west side has a bow window on the ground floor, topped with a cornice supported by brackets, and a three-light sash window. The east side has a shop front with a cornice and a frieze supported by end brackets above pilasters. This shop front encloses a splayed bay and a half-glazed door, which is protected by a fanlight.
