Description

A pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, located on the south side of Queen Street, Emsworth. The houses are built of red brick in Flemish bond, with rubbed arches to the ground floor, and have a tile roof. They are two storeys high with an attic and a basement, originally featuring two windows across the front. There are now two modern flat-roofed dormers with casement windows. The windows of No. 9 are sash windows, while those of No. 11 are casements, with a small added window above the front door. Each house has a wood doorcase with a frieze and pilasters, leading to a six-panelled door (the door of No. 11 has two glazed panels at the top), and stone steps.
