Description

Trentham Cottage is a late 18th-century house located on Tower Street in Emsworth. The house is stuccoed with a slate roof. It presents a symmetrical front, three windows wide and two storeys high. The building features an eaves cornice with coupled carved brackets, and a plinth. A circular window is centrally placed on the upper floor, flanked by two windows with segmental arches filled with plaster radiating a fluted pattern. The windows are sash windows in exposed frames, with three lights; the circular window features radiating lights. The doorcase has a moulded cornice, a reeded architrave, a fanlight with radiating and oval patterns, and a six-panelled door. A side entrance is located in the east wing wall, with a moulded panel above a boarded door.
