Description

This is a late 18th-century house with additions from the mid-19th century. It is located on King Street, Emsworth. The house has a tile roof and is constructed of narrow boarding with brickwork. The front (north-east elevation) is symmetrical and two storeys high, featuring two-storey splayed bays on either side of a central window on the upper floor. The roof is hipped. The walls are of narrow boarding, with a central gable; smaller projections are at each end, with curved walls of painted brick, and there is a red brick extension to the rear. The windows are sash windows, with a round-headed window in the centre. The doorcase has an open dentilled pediment, a broken cornice above pilasters, an arched opening, and a radiating fanlight above a half-glazed Victorian door.
