Description
The Rectory is an 18th-century house with a boundary wall and coachhouse. The main house is constructed of blue brick with red brick dressings, featuring a high parapet with stone coping and a dentil brickwork band. It has a symmetrical north front of two storeys and three windows, with an eastward extension of one blank window. Victorian sash windows are present, and the ground-floor bays are splayed with dentilled cornices. A 20th-century brick porch has been added to the front, incorporating an older doorway with an open pediment, broken cornice on pilasters, an arched opening with a plain fanlight, and a six-panelled door. A low front boundary wall, originally with railings now replaced with boarding, terminates in brick piers topped with finials. The early 19th-century stable and coachhouse is built of flint with a tile roof and has a gabled front, featuring a hayloft door above a carriage door.
