Description
This outbuilding, located 10 yards northeast of the entrance to the stable courtyard at Tylney Hall, was constructed around 1900 by architect R. Selden Wornum. It is built from red brick and features boxed eaves beneath a plain tiled roof. The building has three square-headed dormers on the left side and two on the front, along with a cupola at the east end of the ridge. The structure consists of a gable-ended main block with a lower extension to the east and a right-angled extension to the south. There is some half-timbering in the gable. The building is 1.5 storeys tall, with a six-bay main block, a four-bay eastern extension, and a three-bay gable front on the right. Large casement windows with glazing bars are set in segment-headed surrounds. On the north front, there is a glazed door with a heavy entablature hood supported by brackets to the left. The right end of the west front features a Tuscan-columned flat-headed porch with a panelled door behind it. This outbuilding is included for its group value with the surrounding structures.
