Description
The outbuildings to Nether Hall, built in the late 19th century, include a gatehouse that is now part of the living accommodation and is located next to the 1901 wing of the house. The structure is two storeys high and constructed of red brick with plain tiled roofs. It features applied mock timbering on the front and has three gables, with the central gable being taller. The roof behind the central gable is topped with a gabled turret that has a clock, along with a hipped roof that has a weathercock on top. The two outer gables are asymmetrical, with their outer roof slopes extending down to the ground floor level. Each of the outer gables has a three-light mullion-and-transom window on both storeys, while the upper storey of the central gable features a four-light mullion-and-transom oriel window supported on brackets, above a wide carriage opening.
