Description

The Ecke is a house with an early 19th-century exterior that conceals a 17th-century core. It has two storeys and features a combination of timber framing encased in gault brick. The building is topped with a hipped slate roof and has a paired modillion cornice. There are three windows, which are small-paned sashes set in deep reveals. The entrance door is located on the return front and consists of a four-panel door with a traceried fanlight, all set within a semi-circular arched doorway. A prostyle portico with fluted pilasters and columns supports a dentil cornice, and there is a paired modillion cornice above the flat roof.
