Description
Church House Farmhouse is an early 18th-century building with an addition from 1809. The house features two distinct sections, with the larger northern part being two storeys tall and having three single-storey extensions to the north. It has a red tile roof that is hipped to the east and gabled to the west, with hipped roofs over the extensions. The north and west walls display exposed timber framing filled with brick, while the rest of the building is constructed with red brick in both English and Flemish bond. The windows are casements. The southern part, added in 1809, is also two storeys and has a symmetrical facade with three windows and a lower-pitched red tile roof that is hipped at both ends. This section features red brickwork in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches above the windows and sashes set in reveals. The porch includes two columns and two pilasters with Grecian details, a round-arched opening with a fanlight, and a six-flush-panelled door. The building is topped with very tall chimney stacks.
