Description

Cold Piece Farmhouse is an early 18th-century building with 19th-century alterations, originally symmetrical with a front of five windows. It is a two-storey and attic building with a red tile hipped roof, featuring two high-level dormers with tiled gables, and a central stack. The exterior is red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with blue headers. Openings are cambered, and three windows have been filled in flush, while two are recessed panels. The windows are mostly three-light square-leaded casements. A brick porch has an arched opening with impost blocks and plinth, and contains a plastered vault and a plain doorway with a six-panelled, top-lit door. Later Victorian and modern extensions to the south maintain a similar style, including a large flat-roofed porch.
