Description

Pendeen Cottage and Rover Cottage are 18th-century buildings located on Castle Street in Portchester. The facades are made of colourwashed brick, and the old tiled roof is hipped at the northwest end. The cottages are two storeys high and feature one window each, fitted with modern glazing. The doorcases are adorned with pediments and fluted pilasters. These cottages are part of a group that includes Nos 183 and 185, No 189, Nos 193 to 201 (odd), No 195A, and Nos 209 to 219 (odd), as well as Nos 200 to 204 (even) across the street.
