Description
Ford Cottage and Fortune Cottage, part of Fortune Court, have origins dating back to the 17th century, although their exterior is primarily from the mid-19th century in a Tudor style. The building is one storey with an attic and features a wide range of four windows, creating a fairly symmetrical facade. It has a red tiled gabled roof with prominent chimneys and four gabled dormers that have plain bargeboards. The walls are made of brick with cambered openings, and there is a large central porch with a four-centred arch and 'lancet' side windows. The windows are lattice casements.
