Description

The listed buildings comprise Nos 1 and 2, located on Mansbridge Road, originally a timber-framed farmhouse. Dating largely to the 16th century with later alterations, the house is now divided into two separate dwellings. It is two storeys high and exhibits irregular window placement. The roof is modern, tiled, and half-hipped. The upper walls display exposed timber framing, with the infill and lower walls constructed from red brick of varying periods and patterns. Windows are casement types, some retaining old leaded lights. Notable features include triple diagonal chimneys rising from a massive square stack. Single-storey outshots of recent construction are attached at both ends of the building.
