Description

The drinking fountain, built in 1897, was erected by a resident of Southampton to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. It features a square stone base with a granite horse trough on one side. Two steps lead up to an iron basin, and there is a panel with shell moulding above. Engaged columns support an entablature with scrolled corners.
