Description
Catherington Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features painted brick walls constructed in Flemish Garden Wall bond, a plinth, and rubbed flat arches on the ground floor, along with brick dentil eaves and stone cills. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles, and there are gabled dormers with tiled fronts above casement windows. The near-symmetrical west front has two storeys and two windows, with an outshot at the north end that includes one small window. The windows are sashes set in reveals, and the ground floor is fitted with sliding louvred shutters. A Victorian gabled brick porch, which has small side windows, leads to a door made up of three vertical panels above three vertical panels.
