Description
Holly Lodge is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It features brick walls in Flemish bond with blue headers, flat arches, and stone cills, topped by a hipped slate roof with brick dentil eaves. The south front is symmetrical and consists of two storeys with three windows, which are casements. The doorway has an arched opening flanked by pilasters, with panelled reveals, a radiating fanlight, and a six-panelled door. An open porch supported by two columns in a simple style features a coupled-dentil pattern in the cornice moulding. There is a 20th-century addition at the east end that matches the original style. The rear elevation is a mix of materials, including flint walls and brick dressings, with some areas covered in cement render.
