It features an exposed timber frame with infill made of plaster, brick, and ironstone, all of which are painted. The other walls are primarily brickwork, also painted. The roof is thatched, hipped at one end with a rear catslide, and there is a tile roof on the east end extension. The house has two storeys and irregular window arrangements, with casement windows and plain doorways.
