Description
The dovecote at Langrish Manor Farm is a 16th-century structure that was later used as a hop store and is now a store. It features malmstone walls with flush red brick quoins and a tiled roof. The building is a square, thick-walled block with a gable on each face, topped by a lantern. The east face has a doorway dating from around 1800, situated above the original access door. Each gable has small lancet windows that were added when the building was converted into a hop store. Inside, there are honeycomb nesting holes, many of which are filled, and an upper floor that dates to around 1800. The roof has a queen-strut tenoned purlin design, although the common rafters have been replaced.
