Description
Guiles is a cottage that dates back to the 17th century, originally built with a timber frame. It was reclad in the 18th century and had its front altered in the early 19th century. The front walls are made of stucco, while the other walls are constructed of flint with brick dressings, and the timber frame is exposed at the rear. The cottage features a half-hipped thatch roof with eyebrow dormers. The windows are sash style, set in exposed frames, with narrow side and top panes. The entrance has a Regency door frame with a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed, and is located within a trellis porch that has a concave hood.
