Description

Pond Cottage is a pair of estate cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, built in 1826. The structure features brick walls laid in Flemish bond and has cambered openings on the ground floor. The roof is tiled and has a simple form. The building stands two storeys tall, with the south-east elevation displaying three openings above four. The entrance side, which faces the roadway, has a continuous outshot that includes three windows and two arched doorways. The windows are casements, with some featuring cast-iron frames, and there is a 20th-century French door. Additionally, there are two plain boarded doors and a stone oval plaque that is incised with "G.P.J. 1836" (Jervois).
