The bridge and walling to the moat are 20th century constructions. The house is situated within a rectangular moat of old origin, featuring brick walling on the north side. This walling is associated with an oval-arched bridge that provides access to a forecourt. Although designed in the style of the 17th century, the bridge and walling are of recent construction. They are included for their group value.
