Description
Nos 9 and 11 on The Street are a pair of houses dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are two storeys high and feature an older central section with later extensions on either side. The houses have a thatched roof that is hipped and slopes down to low eaves at the ends, with a central stack that has been shafted. The exposed timber frame, mostly visible in the upper part, is located on the middle and east sides, with red brick infilling and other types of walling. Former doors have been blocked. The upper floors have two casement windows with projected frames, each supported by a central carved bracket. The ground floor has modern small casement windows and entrances at each end.
