Description

Nos. 1 and 2 on The Street are a pair of houses built in the mid to late 18th century, with some later alterations. They are constructed from coursed rubble and feature a replaced artificial-stone roof along with stone chimney stacks.

The buildings are two storeys high and have four irregular bays, with a plinth and flush quoins. The doors in bays two and three have been replaced with boarded doors that have flush surrounds. The end bays contain replaced canted bay windows topped with hipped roofs. Above, there are three 4-pane sash windows, and a small blocked window is set lower in bay two. The roof has a low pitch, and the end stacks have been rebuilt.

These houses are included in the listing for their group value.
