Description
This is a fragment of a medieval cross, located in the garden of Cross House in Bowes. It is constructed of sandstone. The remains consist of a square plinth with rounded corners and a chamfered top edge, which supports an octagonal base and a worn stump of a cross shaft standing approximately 0.6 metres high.
