Description

Prospect House and an archway to its right date from the early to mid-18th century. The house is constructed of squared rubble, with a renewed stone-flagged roof and stone chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, featuring raised and chamfered quoins. The central doorway has been replaced, set within a moulded surround, and is accompanied by an overlight. Four-pane sashes are found in moulded surrounds. The roof has coped gables and shaped kneelers, and the end stacks include water tables.

Inside, a closed-string dogleg staircase with two flights and a landing rail features turned balusters and a moulded handrail. A wooden winder staircase is located in the back kitchen.

To the right of the house is a semicircular archway with flush voussoirs, a projecting keystone, and impost blocks, set within a short wall topped by a cornice.
