Description

Cross House and Church View is a pair of houses built around 1840, with some later alterations. They are constructed from tooled, squared rubble and feature a stone-flagged roof with stone chimney stacks. Cross House is located on the left side.

The buildings are two storeys high and have a wide three-bay front, with flush quoins on the left. There is a central segmental archway with flanking doorways that were added later. A passage behind the archway leads to the rear. The doors have been replaced and feature flush lintels, with the right door having an overlight. The right bay contains a 16-pane sash window, while the left bay has a replaced bow window. Above, there are three 16-pane sashes. The roof has coped gables and shaped kneelers, with end stacks that have top ledges and water tables.

The buildings are included for their group value.
