Description
Nos. 4 and 5 on The Street are two houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are constructed of colourwashed brick and feature a thatched roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of three sections. The core of the structure, which is from the 18th century, has two or three bays with casement windows that have raised keystones, along with one 16-pane sash window. To the east, there is an extension that forms No. 4, which is taller and includes a half-glazed door and similar casement windows. A brick wing, added in the late 18th to early 19th century, is located at the west end facing the road, featuring a chalkstone back wall and brick with a pattern in the gable end. This section also includes a half-glazed door and casement windows, as well as an added leaning buttress.
