Description
Nos. 2 and 3 on The Street are two houses positioned at right angles to each other. No. 2 dates from the 17th to early 18th century and features a combination of stucco on brick and timber framing, while No. 3 is from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick. Both houses have thatched roofs and are two storeys high.
No. 2 has three bays and a lobby entry plan with a central stack; its original door has been replaced with a window, but there is an 18th-century six-panelled door in the gable end. It also features two and three-light casement windows. No. 3, which is also three bays wide, is attached to the back of No. 2 and faces the road. It has a four-panelled door and casement windows with segmental arched brick openings, along with a gable stack.
