Description

Cromwell Cottage is an early 18th century building located on The Street in Old Basing. It is two storeys high and features three windows. The cottage has a hipped tile roof with brick dentil eaves and is constructed from red brick in Flemish bond, with a plinth at the base. The windows have moulded architraves, which are shaped into pediments on the ground floor, and they are fitted with Victorian sash windows. The entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within an architrave and topped with an open pediment supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a stable block that has a half-hipped tile roof, exposed framing in the gables, and red brick walling in English bond.
