Basing Cottage is a 17th-century building with later additions. It is a one-storey and attic structure characterized by its irregular window placement. The roof is half-hipped and covered in old tiles, featuring two hipped dormers with sills set at eaves level. The timber frame is exposed, incorporating brick nogging and other brick walling.
