Description
Lodge Cottage is a small house built in the mid-19th century. It features painted brickwork in English bond and a slate roof, with unpainted brick stacks. The cottage is two stories tall and consists of two rooms with a rear entry and an attached scullery or wash house. The front has two windows, with the ground floor showcasing 2-light smaller pane casements and the first floor featuring 2-light horizontal bar casements. To the left, there is a wide lean-to with a blocked doorway that has a segmental head. At the back, there is a small light in the lean-to, a central door, and a small gabled extension with a 2-light casement window. The cottage has a low-pitched hipped roof with deep eaves, a lofty central stack, an eaves stack to the left, and a ridge stack for the scullery. The exterior is modest but remains practically unaltered.
