Description
Headstock Lodge is a single-storeyed Tudor lodge built in 1858. It features a symmetrical front with two windows and a tile roof that has a decorative ridge, scalloped bands, and weathered stacks at each end, which include stone inset shields. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with a plinth, yellow quoins, and stone dressings. The window surrounds have hood moulds, and the windows are mullion and transom casements. The lodge also has a steeply-gabled porch with side windows and a quatrefoil above a Gothic opening, which has a hood mould that terminates in bosses featuring initials and the date. There are modern flat-roofed extensions at the rear.
