Description

Seven Stones Farmhouse is a building that dates from the 15th, 16th, and 18th centuries. It is a one-storey structure with an attic, featuring a late medieval two-bay timber frame with an additional bay added at the east end, and a three-bay barn at the west end. The farmhouse has a new tiled roof with a modern catslide on the north side, and three gabled dormers with cills at eaves level. There is also a shafted stack. The exposed frame includes painted brick infill and other walling, with the west gable inside the barn displaying upper wattle and daub panels. The windows consist of modern casements and French doors. Inside, the farmhouse features heavy timber work and a massive chimney breast from the 16th century, with a later oven attached to the east end of the frame. The barn is timber-framed, with straight struts, modern boarding on the walls, and a new tiled roof that is hipped at the west end.
