Description

The barn at Prewett Farm is a late 18th century structure featuring five bays, with aisles along the sides and around the ends. It has a steep roof that is hipped at the ends, and a low eaves line that continues around the building. The timber frame includes straight struts, with the posts resting on a floor plate. The walls are constructed of red brick in various bonds, set on a plinth. It is likely that this barn is an older building that was renovated in the early 19th century.
