Description

The Malt House is an 18th and early 19th century building, with later 19th century alterations. It comprises several ranges, originally of five windows and two storeys. The roofs are tiled, with gables and hips. The walls are largely brick, painted on the front elevation. The brickwork is in a Flemish bond pattern, with an English bond pattern used for the malthouse wing. Openings have cambered arches. The central upper portion of the front elevation features exposed timber framing. Casement windows are present, along with plain doorways, one of which has a boarded porch.
