Description

Baughurst House is an early 19th-century house with a symmetrical south front, originally featuring five bays. The house has two storeys and a tiled roof with gabled ends and a central projection with a narrowed gable. The roof features brick dentilled eaves and square Tudor-style chimneys. The walls are of red brick in Flemish bond, with blue headers, projecting panels within the side gables, rubbed flat arches, stone cills, and a high stepped plinth. Casement windows and French doors are present on the front elevation, with a Tudor arch framing a half-glazed door in the central section. The rear and side elevations are simpler, with brick bays on the ground floor adjacent to the main front.
