Description
The Old Rectory is a building from the early to mid-19th century, with earlier origins and extensions likely added around 1845 when the nearby church was rebuilt. The symmetrical front, facing north, is two stories high and features three windows. It has a tiled roof with deep eaves and is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a first-floor band, stone cills, and a stepped plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with the ground floor windows being wider.
A gabled brick porch, added during the second phase, has a Tudor door frame leading to a panelled door and decorative wavy bargeboards. The longer west elevation has one and a half windows and displays the later extensions and alterations, including a French window in a tiled-roofed brick bay. The other elevations show more alterations with windows placed irregularly. The chimneys are Tudor stacks from the second phase.
