Description

Bartley Mill Oast House is a mid-19th century oast house located on Bayham Road in Wadhurst. The building is constructed of brick, with the cones of the oasts rendered. It features a timber gallery on the west side and has a slate roof that is partly weatherboarded. Two circular plan oasts are attached eccentrically to the north and east sides of the main structure, both complete with cowls. The drying equipment of the oasts is reported to be intact. This building is included for its group value with Bartley Mill, which is also located on Bayham Road in Frant Civil Parish.
