Dove Cottage comprises two 18th-century houses, numbers 1 and 2, situated on the south side of Fletching Street, Mayfield. The building is two storeys high and features four windows. The ground floor is constructed of painted brick, while the upper floor is tile-hung. The roof is tiled. The windows are casement windows. Number 1 has a doorway topped with a pediment-shaped hood.
