Description

The Old Borough Arms is a private house located at 1578 The Strand. It is an 18th century or earlier building constructed on the Town Wall, accessed by 15 steps from the street. The house has two storeys and an attic, with one room situated to the left of the steps within the Town Wall itself, below the ground floor level of the house. The building features three windows, with the ground floor made of painted brick and weatherboarding above. It has two half-hipped gables and a tiled roof. The windows are fitted with Venetian shutters and retain their glazing bars. There is a flat hood above the door.
